Angela DeGiaimo

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
Last Updated 30+ days ago

I specialize in working with "Millennials" (individuals 20's-30's), as well as teens and their families. My passion is working with young people in transitional phases of life. I work to help you to better understand yourself and to tap into/capitalize on your existing strengths as well as discover internal strengths you never realized you possessed. My goal for our work together is to help you to feel happier and more fulfilled, and for you to emerge stronger and more confident. Using humor and hope, I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable/heard.

I am experienced in treating issues of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, poor school/job performance, communication barriers, challenging relationships, PTSD, struggles around trauma and loss, bipolar disorder, and identity related issues: gender, sexuality, LGBTQIA, & race. Also working with people who have experienced difficult or traumatic childhoods.

As a former foster parent and current adoptive parent I believe I am uniquely suited to understanding the complexities and challenges of non-traditional and non-biologically based families. Understanding finances can be barrier I reserve a limited number of slots for reduced rate clients.
