CJ Mazzalupo, LCSW
I have extensive experience working with students of all ages and from diverse backgrounds. My primary client base includes the LGBTQIA+ community, artists, athletes, musicians, individuals who identify as neurodivergent, those navigating their personal gender journey or transitions, and students struggling to manage the academic and social challenges that can arise in high school, college, and graduate school.
In our work together, we will take a collaborative approach as you build self-awareness, develop dependable coping skills, and shift behaviors and patterns that no longer promote personal growth or serve your highest interests. Your treatment will be tailored to your specific needs and goals, and you will play a vital role in the process, co-creating ways to move forward in your life toward greater contentment and fulfillment.
My approach is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive. I utilize psychoeducation and a combination of talk therapy, somatic awareness, mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and EMDR in treatment. I also find that incorporating the creative arts for those who are interested can be of great value.
I enjoy working with teens and adults of all ages, identities, and backgrounds who strive to deepen their personal insight, answer complex questions, and navigate life's adversities. Most importantly, we will observe and embrace moments of growth, healing, and self-actualization.
