Hello! My name is Karen and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I enjoy working with first and second gen college students who experience depression, anxiety, body image concerns, and who have a history of trauma. Maybe you feel a huge sense of responsibility for being the first in your family to go to college. Or maybe you are having a harder time adjusting to the educational and social demands of college than you thought you would. As a first gen college student myself, I've been there. I know firsthand that this is both a time of growth and complex emotions.
