Mahogany Mental Health Counseling PLLC
Mahogany was created to increase mental health education and therapeutic engagement within communities of color using a relatable and holistic approach to healing. We specialize in helping adolescents, adults and families navigate change and transitions brought on by the effects of trauma, mental illness, counter-productive intergenerational patterns, and general life developments.
Using frameworks based in Psychodynamic, Cognitive, Behavioral, Relational and Sensorimotor Therapy, clients are not only students but also teachers through the exploration of themes and patterns related to their family of origin, life experiences, thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and bodily functioning. By being an active participant in treatment, our hope is that every client learns that they possess the power to understand themselves and make personal contributions to whatever positive changes it is that they desire in their lives. We pride ourselves on our mission to help strengthen communities of color through healing its members from the inside.
