Hello, I'm Robert. I help professionals rise to mental challenges. Working together, we combine your preferences and self-knowledge with my expertise and experience. I bring an unbiased third-party perspective, complete focus on you, careful listening, creative problem-solving, and a strong belief in making therapy enjoyable. My goal is to provide lasting change that travels with you.

What path does therapy follow? We first resolve or build skills to manage any immediate challenges. If applicable to you, we aim to understand deeper issues, break them down using plain language, identify root causes, and get you unstuck. We can also move you past this point of 'okay' or 'normal' and towards your 'best' self, providing you with the tools and confidence you need to not only stay healthy but thrive in the long run. At our disposal is traditional talk therapy (typically focused on the past), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT, focused on the present), solution-focused therapy (focused on the future), and many other treatments and approaches.

I’ve been working as a therapist since 2017 and am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I focus on practically-oriented professionals experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, difficulties with work-life balance, and major life decisions. I’m from Washington, DC, lived abroad for three years, and previously worked in consulting and teaching. I have a BA, magna cum laude, in psychology from Duke University, a Master in Social Work from the University of Southern California, and a Master in Conflict Management from Johns Hopkins University.

In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative and supportive environment where your goals and well-being are the priority. Whether you're dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, or navigating life transitions, I'm here to help you find clarity and develop effective strategies for your unique situation. I also have experience working with diverse populations, including military veterans and individuals facing multicultural issues.

Outside of my professional life, I value staying active and engaged with my community. I believe in the importance of balance and strive to bring that into my work with clients. If you're ready to take the next step towards a healthier, more fulfilling life, I invite you to reach out and start this journey with me.
