Hello! I'm Tanya (pronouns: she/her), a South Asian immigrant therapist who hopes to support you in the courageous work of getting to know yourself more deeply. I aim to create a warm, gentle, and safe space where my clients are welcomed, explored, and celebrated in their entirety. My practice is rooted in multicultural, anti-oppression, and anti-capitalist frameworks. I work in collaboration with my clients, utilizing theory and techniques best suited to your unique experiences and goals.
I support clients in navigating various mental health and interpersonal challenges. I am also passionate about working with those experiencing concerns with eating disorders and body image, as well as members of the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and immigrant communities. I draw from prior experience working at college settings and at an eating disorder treatment center.
If you think we may be a good fit, please email me to schedule a free consultation. I offer sessions on weekdays, both virtually and in-person at our office in Brooklyn. I welcome individuals, couples, and partnerships of all identities, abilities, and bodies. I look forward to helping kickstart your process of discovery and change!
