Therapists for college students near 02155
I am passionate about working with college students 18 and older that are struggling with painful life experiences that affect their mental and physical health. I provide a safe, accepting environment, using evidence-based modalities for change, and support my clients in the process of healing and becoming the best versions of themselves. My clients are resilient- however, having to be "strong" and in survival mode all the time is exhausting, and it's okay to let your guard down with me. I aim to support my clients in not only surviving, but thriving. My clients achieve a healthier relationship with themselves, others, and the world around them.

Are you struggling to find ways to begin living a happier, secure, and fulfilled life or maybe a better handle on the current situation that keeps standing in the way of your goals? Let me help you through this process of seeking and promoting that self-love and examine your behaviors and how the behaviors of others impact you. You are in control! You have the strength, and you will have the answer! Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. As a therapist, I believe in providing a space where you will feel secure and safe to share those thoughts that continue spinning in your head throughout the day. The way you form relationships with others, or your partner is a reflection of the healed or unhealed wounds you are carrying from your childhood experience. Our childhood wounds and conditions influence us more than we think. Healing these wounds helps us improve our self-worth, our standards, and our boundaries within ourselves and others. Sometimes you need someone who will listen, challenge and understand what you are going through. Let's work on building that self-confidence, self-love, and determination that will propel you to be a better version of yourself.
I enjoy working with individuals struggling with anxiety/stress, life problems/transitions, self-confidence, or relationship issues, as well as those struggling with or know someone struggling with addiction. I work collaboratively with the client to process feelings and emotions and explore new perspectives. My background is in CBT, but I tend to use a variety of techniques in treatment. I employ a strength based, client centered, perspective to help clients realize their potential and engage clients in finding the answers to reach their goals within themselves.

The clients I work with are often creative, sensitive people-pleasers who are feeling overwhelmed and alone. They’re struggling with their relationships and figuring out who they are and where they fit. Life is exhausting, as they second-guess every word that comes out of their mouth. The noise of everyone else’s expectations makes it impossible to sort out what they really want. With a compassionate and playful approach, we will break down your fears while uncovering what gives you strength, what lights you up, and what helps you feel confident.
Are you sick and tired of feeling anxious or overwhelmed? Are you having trouble sleeping and focusing? Are your relationships becoming more challenging because you're irritable? I can help. I work hard in a collaborative effort with you focusing on the issues you bring to the table and we will develop a treatment plan together. I have experience with the difficulties associated with transitioning into college and all of the social and emotional stressors that come with it. Anxiety, depression, social isolation, and academic pressure, are all issues that I have had much success in helping other students manage successfully. I've got you!
Looking to carve your own path? Perhaps get help from someone who can assist you with stress? If so, I provide comfortable, competent, and most importantly, an insightful therapy. I work with a plethora of diagnoses, and my ideal client is someone who is willing to try and to trust the process of getting better. Everyone’s road looks different and I’d like to help you traverse that path. I come from a martial arts background and my approach to therapy is the same: practice achieves mastery and perfect practice achieves it. Forge yourself a better tomorrow.
