Therapists for college students near Harvard University
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I am keenly aware of the courage it takes to reach out to a therapist. It is my hope to build a safe, strong, and productive connection with every person I work with. Therapy is about restoring and healing connections with oneself and others. To that end, I serve individuals, groups, couples, and families across the life span with a focus on individual and couples therapy. Working with college students and young professionals has been a consistent part of my work since 2010. I offer a free 30 min phone or zoom call prior to intake to help potential patients decide if I am an appropriate fit. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
I’m dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered care. I believe meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration. Each session is tailored to your unique needs and goals, helping you build practical skills, increase self-awareness, and move toward a more balanced values-driven life.

As a therapist, I aim to be as authentic, supportive, and direct as possible; helping you to work on the obstacles standing in the way of reaching your goals. Sometimes this simply means experiencing an accepting and validating environment otherwise unavailable. Alternatively, this may consist of having an emotionally safe space to communicate with your partner or family. My approach depends on your goals for our work together and what degree of challenge you feel ready for. Conflict or connection, I am here to support you. Feedback I've received from clients typically includes comments along the lines of, "You aren't the type of therapist who just sits back and listens for an hour, but who gets me to consider things I hadn't thought of, helped me to figure myself out- what I really want, need, and how to deal". I truly enjoy helping my clients to gain a better understanding of themselves, identifying and building their strengths, and supporting them through difficult times. You may perceive an upsetting event as a minute issue or a monstrous crisis based on how others view it. My perspective however, rests on the impact and significance an experience holds for you. Life is challenging, especially when you are attempting to juggle school, work, relationships and unexpected life events. Reach out. A simple talk will help you determine if I can be of support.

My practice is dedicated to helping people develop their capacities for self-awareness, in order to overcome difficulties in their lives and to find greater fulfillment in relationships, work, and creative pursuits. My approach focuses on helping individuals gain insight into ways of relating to themselves and to others that lie outside of conscious awareness. Speaking with a uniquely attentive listener in a consistent, confidential setting helps to bring these aspects of experience into conscious awareness. With time, this process facilitates significant and meaningful change. I work with adults, adolescents, and children with a wide range of difficulties. I have expertise in working with talented individuals who find themselves stuck in unsatisfying patterns, and I have particular experience and interest in issues around creative inhibition and expression. I have experience working in outpatient, hospital, residential, school, community mental health, and day program settings, and have completed advanced clinical training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School.

NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS. I works with young adults suffering from a wide range of mental health concerns. I takes an integrative approach to treatment by using evidence-based intervention and person-centered strategies specifically tailored to the clients’ individual needs in order to promote growth and meaningful change in clients. I am particularly interested in treating individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar and trauma-related issues. I aim to support clients with their mental health journey by incorporating principles of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills, motivational interviewing, trauma informed therapy, and strength-based framework. In order to aid clients in their pursuit of living a healthier and happier life, I establish a genuine and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship by providing empathy, acceptance, validation and unconditional positive regard. I believe in the importance of creating a warm, safe, and supportive therapeutic space for effective healing to take place. I focus on treating individuals with respect and integrity when they are at their most vulnerable. I also have a passion for working with athletes. I value bringing mental health support to sports. I focus on the emotional wellbeing of high-performing athletes in order for them to reach the next level of performance. I help athletes build resiliency and navigate the troubles of playing sports, including managing perfectionism, preventing burnout, and building mental toughness. This passion for aiding high-performers blossomed at University of Central Arkansas’ Counseling Center where I worked directly with student-athletes providing individual counseling and support to multiple sports teams. Prior to becoming a counselor, I was an assistant coach for women’s soccer and lacrosse at Hendrix College where she was able to assist student-athletes on and off the field.
Lumin Health is a psychiatrist-led mental health organizations serving young adults who feel stuck with depression and anxiety despite efforts with traditional methods. We provide two evidence-based options: esketamine (Spravato) — an FDA-approved, insurance-covered treatment — and ketamine therapy delivered in a carefully monitored setting. Each session happens in a private room with vitals tracked, standard two-hour observation, and a ride-home requirement to keep you safe. You set the pace; our team provides steadiness. Access matters, especially for students and early-career adults. Spravato treatment is insurance-covered at Lumin Health; we accept Medicare and most major plans in Massachusetts (Aetna, Anthem, BCBS, Cigna, Evernorth, Harvard Pilgrim, Optum, Point32Health, Tufts, United Healthcare). Our team handles prior authorizations and coordination so you’re not navigating forms between classes or shifts. Out-of-pocket costs typically range from $10 to $25, which is meaningful when the treatment typically costs $500+. Care is local and predictable: clinics in Woburn, Brookline, Newton, and Cambridge Massachusetts, flexible scheduling, and collaborative communication with your current therapist or prescriber. That structure helps ketamine treatment fit real life — exams, internships, family demands — rather than the other way around. Many young adults describe ketamine for depression as creating a window where rumination eases and possibilities feel closer. Spravato and ketamine treatment don’t cure depression, but they may offer rapid relief for some and a safer way to do deeper work with psychotherapy or behavioral support. What matters most is what feels possible to you now. If you’re exploring ketamine therapy or Spravato, Lumin Health will meet you with clarity, agency, and insurance-savvy support.
