Hey, I’m Alexandra. Life can be exciting, but it also brings its fair share of stress, uncertainty, and tough decisions. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, facing a big change, or just trying to figure things out, you don’t have to go through it alone. My goal is to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, build confidence, and create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. I take a flexible approach, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, and other effective methods to help you gain clarity, identify what really matters to you, and take action toward your goals.

At Hive Health, we believe healing is not one‑size‑fits‑all. Whether you’re a medical student carrying the weight of burnout, a young adult navigating life transitions, or a teen exploring your identity, you deserve care that sees the whole you. Like a hive, our well‑being is interconnected. When one part struggles, the whole system feels it. That’s why our approach is trauma‑informed, holistic, and culturally humble, addressing not just symptoms, but the deeper roots of stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout.

As your therapist you will find that I provide a safe, nurturing, and confidential environment conducive to getting you better. You might feel stuck—questioning your identity, struggling in relationships, or carrying anxiety and self-doubt that won’t quiet down. Maybe you’re moving through a big life change or just tired of feeling like you have to hide parts of yourself to be accepted. My clients often want clarity, relief, and a more honest connection to themselves and others. As a non-binary therapist, I understand how deeply the therapist’s identity can shape the therapy space—and how important it is to feel seen. I also bring a feminist perspective to help make sense of how social and cultural systems impact your lived experience. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in MA, VT, and FL, I support adults facing anxiety, depression, identity conflict, and relationship struggles. My specialty is interpersonal psychotherapy, and I bring a holistic, adaptable approach to each session—offering clarity, insight, and a space where you can better understand yourself and your connections. I offer a safe, affirming space where you can show up fully and honestly. My approach supports you in developing practical, realistic coping tools while deepening your understanding of yourself. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more aligned with the person you want to be—grounded, capable, and true to yourself.

Hi, I'm Colleen! I have been a Social Worker for the last 17 years working with adults, adolescents, children and families. I will bring compassion, reflection and a little humor during our time together. In sessions, I utilize several integrated modalities to really adjust to what the individual needs are. I like to use a Person-Centered Approach, meeting the individual where they are in order to collaboratively develop obtainable goals and explore healthy coping strategies. We will use Psychodynamic Therapy to explore the individuals thoughts and feelings, and how the past may be impacting their present or future.

We will work together on the hard questions, the uncomfortable feelings, the painful narratives. I get it, life can be a bit much sometimes. Stress can come at you from every angle. Identity issues can leave you unsure of who you are. Relationship issues can leave you feeling disconnected and alone. I’m tough, I’m fair and I’m caring. It’s a powerful combination for lasting change. I’m here to help, to listen and to work through whatever it is that brought you here. I approach my work with an eclectic style, having been trained in a wide range of specialities and identity categories. I integrate my extensive education in psychodynamic and behavioral therapy techniques with training in queer and feminist theory. Let’s chat and see if my style and personality can be a fit for you.

You often wish you felt better about yourself, didn't get so easily overwhelmed, and could handle conflict but aren’t even sure where to start. You’ve found yourself questioning if you should talk to someone. You’ve come to the right place! College life is full of changes and challenges. Even if they are good, changes can sometimes be more than we have bargained for and create a lot of stress and anxiety. Through their work with me, my clients have experienced feeling less overwhelmed by emotions, found effective ways to handle conflict with others (like roommates and partners), felt more connected/present, and gained more confidence in themselves. My clients describe me as welcoming, witty, direct, knowledgeable, and relatable. My style of therapy is very collaborative and conversational as I share tools that you can use in between our sessions. You can reduce the amount of anxiety you experience. At the very least, I can help you manage it in a different way that is less disruptive to you, your relationships, and achieving what you want to in school.

I offer 60 minute sessions and specialize in half day therapy retreats. A therapy retreat is an efficient and comprehensive pathway to heal trauma in consecutive days instead of over many years in weekly therapy, and can accelerate symptom relief. I utilize evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, Progressive Counting, and the Flash Technique to effectively heal the roots of distressing emotions and negative beliefs stored within traumatic memories. I bring my passion for somatic psychology, trauma-sensitive mindfulness, and attachment theory to my therapeutic approach. I invite my clients to offer a gentle curiosity to all parts of themselves, so that together we may attune to what the body, heart, and spirit are most needing to restore wholeness. I offer Telehealth and in-person sessions at my Portland Old Port office. I welcome the opportunity to hear from you to determine if my services are a good fit for what you are seeking.
