Because no two people are the same, your care at Connecting Heals is designed to honor exactly who you are. You will find a safe, culturally responsive, and explicitly LGBTQ+ affirming space that celebrates your unique identity and neurotype, rather than expecting you to fit into a traditional or neurotypical box. To ensure your healing journey is accessible, you will also be met with flexible financial options, including sliding scales and insurance advocacy, to help remove barriers to your care. Ultimately, your therapy is built around your individual lived experiences, empowering you to heal and navigate the world as your most authentic self.

Helping college students and adults with ADHD, anxiety, and depression find clarity, balance, and tools to move forward with confidence. I offer online therapy to anyone in Michigan, no matter where you live, with weekday and evenings available, plus limited in-person sessions. Do you feel overwhelmed no matter how hard you try to keep up? Are you constantly behind, overthinking everything, or wondering why simple tasks feel so hard? I know what that’s like: the mental noise, the pressure to do more, and the frustration of feeling stuck. Living with ADHD, anxiety, or depression can wear you down, and I don’t want you to face it alone. With the right support and practical tools, things can get easier, and I look forward to helping you feel more in control of your life. The tools I use in sessions are ones I’ve built over years of working with students and adults who felt overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Before becoming a therapist, I spent eight years as a school psychologist helping people understand how they learn, think, and cope. That experience shaped my style: practical, thoughtful, and focused on what actually helps in real life. My goal is for you to leave therapy with tools you can use anywhere. Not complicated theories, but simple strategies to help you focus, calm your mind, manage emotions, and handle hard moments. We build these tools together, at your pace, in ways that fit your life. I’m collaborative and supportive, but also active and goal focused. We won’t just talk about what’s hard. We’ll work on what to do about it, starting with what’s bothering you right now and building skills to help you feel more in control. If you’re ready to feel more balanced, confident, and in control of your life, reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. Let’s talk about what you’re looking for and see if we’re a good fit.

I specialize working with clients who have mood disorders, trauma, learning disabilities, and developmental disabilities. Many clients identify on the LGBTQ+ spectrum and are working on finding who they are. I am a current school social worker that works with students of all walks of life. I have experience that can help you as you navigate college pressures, transitions, and career paths. I enjoy working with high school and college students. Often my clients are working through life changes and transitions and they want to better their relationships. I help clients understand things that are happening in their bodies, both physical symptoms related to escalation or anxiety, and their emotions. I can help you identify triggers for negative feelings and interpret various social interactions. Together, we can work to help you gain insight of helpful versus harmful behaviors. I view this work as collaborative. Together, we can recognize patterns and cycles that start with interpretation of events, your cognitive patterns, and your feelings, empowering you to determine which actions to take. We can process past and present events that have impacted your ability to connect with others, while working toward finding peace and growth.

You’re managing school, work, relationships, and everyone’s expectations — and people assume you’re fine. But underneath, you’re exhausted from keeping it together. You’ve even tried some self-care, but it’s not hitting like it used to. Many of the clients I work with are BIPOC, queer, and/or neurodivergent adults navigating anxiety, chronic stress, relational trauma, and major life transitions while working toward a greater sense of self and safety. Together, we'll untangle the patterns that keep you stuck and help you move through life with less pressure and more ease.

I believe everyone deserves a nonjudgmental space in their life where they are fully seen, heard, and supported; where individuals of all identities can fully show up as themselves. I am deeply committed to providing you with that space. I create an environment of safety, warmth, curiosity, and openness in which my clients are able to explore the issues and harmful patterns causing them distress and discover healthy ways to live and thrive. I would be a good fit for anyone looking to gain coping skills, manage emotional and interpersonal stress, build self-esteem, and reduce mental health symptoms that are impacting their life. I utilize a collaborative process to help my clients learn important coping skills and tools to create a more fulfilling life. My approach is individualized, trauma informed and client-centered. I use techniques from DBT, CBT and ACT to support clients facing depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and past trauma. I help clients heal, set goals, develop skills, identify values, and manage difficult emotions and situations. I am deeply committed to providing you with an environment of safety, warmth, curiosity, and openness in which my clients are able to explore the issues and harmful patterns causing them distress and discover healthy ways to live and thrive. I operate from a core belief: you are the expert of your own experience. I deeply value and appreciate your innate wisdom and enjoy utilizing a collaborative approach to therapy. It is my job to cultivate a space where you can fully show up as yourself, regardless of any identities you hold. I will see you as a whole person, with lived experience that informs who you are and how you operate through the world, including the systems that you live within. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally and look at things through a culturally responsive lens. Expect someone laidback, collaborative, empathetic, & who will get to know you & form a genuine relationship with you. The transition to undergraduate or graduate school can be a very vulnerable time, and many experience depression, anxiety, and anger along the way. It can be challenging to reach out for support and get connected, but it doesn’t have to be. I am honored to support and hold space for those struggling during these transitions. I have experience and interest in relationship issues, adjustment to life transitions, issues with family of origin, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, and other mood concerns. I have specialized training in perinatal mental health, sexual health, self-compassion, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I strive to use a non-judgmental, empathetic, and validating stance to help clients heal and grow, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion. Please reach out if you feel we may be a good fit!

Stress and anxiety create a different impact on everyone and taking steps to cope can, at times, be difficult on your own. People who are motivated to begin mental health treatment are some of the strongest people out there, even when it can feel overwhelming and scary to take that step. I have always felt a pull to help others in understanding your feelings and behaviors and in how to navigate your world in stressful situations. I work primarily with clients who are struggling with anxiety, stress, life transitions, grief/loss, and depression and can’t wait to begin doing some amazing, meaningful work with you! I have a desire to help others feel heard and my biggest goal is to lift people up who are struggling. I love to see the progress you can make with your goals and mental well-being and I want to be the person that you can count on for support! I intend to do this by listening, working with you, & meeting you where you’re at, as opposed to only giving advice. I’m so happy you’re deciding to take this step in beginning your mental health journey. Starting therapy can be an overwhelming and exciting experience, and I hope that we can work together towards any goals you may have.
