I specialize in working with men, women, teenagers, and boys (6+). If this is you, it is my goal to help you overcome the barriers and problems in your life that are keeping you from experiencing the freedom you are desiring. Often times, these problems are the result of trauma from childhood that is still unresolved. Difficulties that we experience early in life often stay with us into adulthood, creating a a myriad of problems including depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction (sexual, drug/alcohol, work), sexual abuse, lack of self confidence, relationship issues, negative coping habits, physical or auto-immune disorders, & more. In my practice, I utilize a number of trauma informed approaches such as Attachment Focused EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Somatic Experiencing (SE), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you resolve these early childhood traumas. I believe you can overcome these barriers to experience more peace, joy, and freedom in your life. You can heal. And it would be an honor for me to assist you on this journey. I know what it's like to be a college student and struggling with your mental health. It's a difficult and isolating experience. Finding healing in my clinical depression and anxiety was ultimately what led me to become a therapist, to help others like you going through it, too. When we talk about your thoughts and emotions, I know what you're going through and that pain you're experiencing. I also know the power of having a Christian counselor walk alongside you when your Christian faith is important to you. As a believer and therapist, I want to offer you both--a place where Jesus + therapy can co-exist. I offer Christian counseling to young women struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, and cross-cultural adjustment. I integrate clinical techniques along with Scripture and prayer, if you desire, as you work towards healing, renewal and hope! Send me an email today. Let's get started!

Accepting New Clients! Congratulations on taking the first step in choosing a therapist. Do you need someone to listen without judgment? A safe place to share your thoughts and feelings and to get out of that "stuck space" by considering solutions to improve your overall wellbeing? I would enjoy beginning this journey with you by establishing a warm, supportive, and trusting relationship through open and non-judgmental communication. At heart, I am a helper, encourager, and challenger who believes in people. My theoretical approach involves integrating Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior-Informed Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Working together you will increase knowledge and awareness and create action steps that may help ease stress and anxiety, navigate life transitions, and work through school, career, and relationship concerns. Our work together will always support my belief in the strengths of the client and the value of your role in the therapeutic process. In sessions, you can expect a compassionate, direct, and collaborative approach. Feel free to reach out with questions about counseling in general or next steps to get started. Best wishes on your wellness journey!
