As a recent graduate, I am aware of the difficulties that come with being a college student. It is very important that you have someone who can be a listening ear and guidance through struggles. I believe that it is necessary for the counseling relationship to be empathetic, safe, and non-judgmental. I aim to provide a safe and supportive space to collaborate and work at your own pace to reach goals. I hope to empower my clients through heightening self-confidence and utilizing strengths as well as enhancing one’s accountability for behaviors. Through the counseling relationship, we can facilitate change.

Hi, I’m Megan! I’m a licensed therapist in New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina who helps people feeling burned out, anxious, or stuck in survival mode reconnect with balance and purpose. Many of my clients come to me after feeling overwhelmed by work, relationships, or the constant pressure to keep going — even when they’re running on empty. I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, make sense of what’s been weighing on you, and learn healthier ways to cope. My style is compassionate and collaborative — I meet you where you are and help you build practical tools for stress, boundaries, and self-care that actually fit your life. Before starting my private practice, I worked in behavioral health settings supporting individuals living with substance use, bipolar disorder, and other chronic mental health conditions. That experience taught me that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all — and that real change happens when therapy feels safe, personalized, and empowering. If you’re ready to move from burnout to balance, I’d love to help you take that next step.
Greetings! I’m Robyn and I am so excited to be a part of your journey! My bubbly, expressive, and warm personality attributes to a calm professional environment. I welcome individuals of all ages and backgrounds. I graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood Development and Early Education. I started my career as a teacher dedicated to working with children from birth to school age within childcare and school environments. In 2020, I received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Substance Dependence from North Carolina Central University. Since, I have been able to use my prior experience to support a diverse population of individuals, 18 and older, seeking mental health and substance use services in agency settings. I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy implementing a variety of approaches based on the client’s specific needs. This includes a humanistic approach to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Solution- Focused Therapy (SFT). Through our work together, I hope to meet you where you are in your journey to support your progress towards determined goals in order to bring out the best in you.

I also have several years of experience in Hospice and medical social work. Throughout the last 10 years, I have worked with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, and life changes. I offer a non-judgmental approach to therapy and understand that each individual has their own story and own set of circumstances. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, which can be helpful in changing thinking patterns and offer a new perspective. I am glad that you are looking for a safe place to talk about what you are going through--you have taken a positive first step! Therapy can be a great opportunity for self-discovery and growth and I would be happy to guide you in whatever way I can. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

College is hard! I remember how hard it was in so many ways. I'm honored to be a support to you through this important time in your life. I specialize in anxiety. I also work on post-trauma growth for those with a history of trauma. My approach is both "bottom up" (focusing on how your body/biology is responding to stress) and "top down" (working with your thoughts and mind to better manage the way you are feeling/thinking). I am heavily influenced by my studies in mindfulness meditation and bring that approach into our work. I have a strong interest in neuroscience as well as spirituality. I like to say that my goal as a helper is not to “make you better” but to help you discover that which makes you feel more alive. Your true nature is one of wholeness, contentment, and compassion; let's get you back there.
When you're struggling with an eating disorder, anxiety, or depression, the idea of opening up and trusting another person can be HARD. I know that you've likely heard so many messages throughout your life about what you should do and who you should be, but I don't think that "shoulds" have a place in therapy. Who do you WANT to be? How do you WANT to feel? That is way more important than any shoulds, and I would be honored to walk alongside you as you start to find answers to these questions over time. Together, we can unravel those expectations - what you've been told it means to be healthy or successful or fill in the blank - and get to the heart of what really matters to you and what you need. Being a human is messy, and as your therapist, I'll be right there in that space with you as a human first, therapist second. Let's explore what it means to be humans in a world that expects perfection (which doesn't exist!) and pushes you to grind until you're too burned out to do the things you actually want to do. Whether you realize it today or not, you deserve peace. I have many tools in my toolbox to support you, but to me the most important thing I can do is to provide you a safe space to explore your experience in its entirety at your own pace - to build a connection that is strong enough for you to know that I won't judge you or make you bad or wrong for how you are feeling or for using certain behaviors to cope. It's what you've known to do up to this point, so let's put our heads together and find the ways that this has made sense so we can look at it from a place of compassion instead of judgment. This is a shame-free space! I hold a special place in my heart for those who are working towards eating disorder recovery who feel like they aren't sick enough because their body size, race, sexuality, or gender identity don't match what they are seeing on social media under the eating disorder hashtags. All identities are welcome here, and no matter what your circumstances, your concerns are valid, you ARE sick enough, and you deserve compassionate, equitable care. If anything I've said here makes you think "I like her vibe," please don't hesitate to reach out. I would love to chat further about what it would look like for us to work together.

It can be a challenge to find your center or balance when everything around you seems to be out of your control. Things are happening so fast and it can be scary. Searching for your true self in a world that adds filters to glamorize everyday life is a struggle. It can be difficult to find the balance between assertiveness, passiveness, honesty and consideration. Therapy is a space that is yours to discover answers to the questions that keep you up at night or cause you to overthink an "awkward" encounter with someone. Therapy is a safe and confidential space to explore who you are; to name, understand and better manage emotions. Take the opportunity to seek growth in your personal, professional, academic and/or romantic life. We can identify reasonable boundaries and coping strategies that support your mental and emotional well-being. You can let go of feeling misunderstood, underestimated, unseen or lost. Because you are worthy. So, let's find your light together. It is hard to trust a stranger to take this journey with you; therapists are special kind of people. Our job is to help others and provide a space that is nurturing to your needs. You deserve to take advantage of that. I invite you to call or send an email anytime. We can schedule a free consultation to help determine if I am the right fit for you.
Hello! I'm Jacobia Williams, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a passion for helping others to live their best lives. I've worked as a social worker in settings such as therapeutic foster care, hospitals, counseling, and schools for the last 20 years. My goal is to support you on your life's journey. We are all unique and have stories to tell, but it is important to be the narrator of that story. Many of us have faced challenges with our health, jobs, families, and relationships. Many have lost loved ones, felt overwhelmed, and have been stressed out. Often times, our loved ones and children may be feeling those stressors also. We want to teach ourselves and children that it is important to take care of our physical and emotional health. Seeking help to fine tune our coping skills is a courageous act. Allow me the opportunity to partner with you in developing the skills and tools needed to navigate your world. We want to assist you with living a healthy and happy life. Engaging in therapy is an important commitment and can be difficult to fit in with the rest of life's responsibilities. Perhaps you've tried therapy before and found it unhelpful, or worry that constant engagement in therapy is required for lasting change. Trying to cope with the aftermath of trauma, or the way anxiety symptoms can disrupt a day, or having the same fight again and again with a partner can seem to take all of your energy and motivation. Life is often stressful and chaotic, and the times when we feel most stretched thin are the times we need the most support and change. I believe the best outcome of therapy is graduating from therapy - knowing you now have the tools to do what YOU want to do in life. I have spent most of the first 10 years of my career as a Psychologist in the VA, which has allowed me to obtain expert training in effective therapy protocols that produce quick, lasting results - so you can get on with life. Your goals are reachable - we just need to find our way there. Every person's path is different, and I look forward to walking with you on yours. I use effective, proven tools from CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based approaches to guide both individuals and couples toward their chosen destinations.
