I work from a compassionate, whole person approach where trust and safety allow for awareness and growth. I work with adults at all stages of life, with a particular fondness for emerging young adulthood. My typical client may be experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, interpersonal challenges, grief and trauma. I would like to support you on your therapeutic journey and in my experience, a good relationship and rapport are the most important ingredients for successful therapy.
A therapist is to honor and respect your individuality while creating a calm and safe space for you to express yourself openly and freely with no judgment. Your experience is unique, and I will treat it as such while intently listening to your story. You are the driver and expert of your own experiences, and the goal is to collaboratively approach your story with intentionality, sort through your challenges, explore strategies that best serve you, and prioritize your well-being.
I provide daytime virtual appointments and work with young adults who are struggling with anxiety and depression, substance abuse, and co-occurring, diagnoses. My goal is to welcome you to a warm, supportive space where you feel safe to be yourself and speak openly. Together, we’ll take a look at what you’re going through, build perspective, identify manageable goals, and take steps towards meaningful change. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to you. I draw from evidence-based practices to help you progress. I'm accepting new clients and I offer a free brief consultation so we can get to know each other a little bit. I can be reached through email, phone: (617) 214-1846, or via my website.

My approach is active and collaborative-we focus on understanding patterns that keep you stuck while building practical tools to help you feel more grounded, focused, and confident in your day to day life. I draw from mindfulness, mind-body awareness, CBT, DBT, IFS, and integrative therapy. I also provide preparation and integration support for psychedelic experiences within a therapeutic framework. Having lived in diverse parts of the world, I understand challenges around identity, transition, and belonging, and support students working through these experiences. Whatever it is that has brought you here, welcome! I work with folks facing a range of issues, with a specialty in trauma, anxiety, family conflict, LGBTQIA+ identity, and relationship issues. If you experience stress from caring for/about others and our environment, I am ready to support you. I am a climate-aware therapist, meaning I recognize climate grief and eco-anxiety as legitimate responses to a global crisis and important areas of attention in therapy to help you better navigate our changing world. In therapy, I attend to ways in which the ideas, actions and policies in our communities, cultures and families can be sources of both pain and resilience. I am committed to providing queer- and LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and I believe in the collaborative exploration of all intersections of identity that feel important to you. My experience informs my work. My career in international humanitarian aid and gender-based violence lends a unique perspective to trauma-informed care. Trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, I bring neuroscience and the mind-body connection into therapy. Our work will explore how the body holds past experiences and how it can help you heal. I also support people in therapeutically integrating psychedelic experiences. I look forward to getting started!

My style is direct, interactive, supportive and compassionate. I particularly enjoy working with older adolescents and adults who are experiencing difficult and challenging transitions in their lives. I have found that some people seek counseling for short term solutions, while others are seeking a longer, deeper, transformative experience. Some goals I have helped my patients achieve include: overcoming inhibitions about relationships or career, becoming better self-advocates, managing stressful life transitions, exercising more control over choices and actions, and mourning the loss of a loved one/significant relationship. I often use CBT, DBT, and ERP to help clients maximize functioning.

Managing OCD, anxiety, and/or depression on top of the demands of work, school, social responsibilities, family responsibilities, or even leisure time is exhausting. It takes so much time and energy to deal with anxiety and takes you away from the things you care about. You deserve to feel better and do more than just try to get through your day. I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment and work collaboratively with you in an empathic manner using evidence-based treatment, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (or exposure and response prevention for OCD). Finding a therapist who fits what you are looking for can be a challenging experience. I admire your bravery in taking this first step. If you have questions about my practice, background, or approach we can set up a call to discuss if it would be a good fit.
