Sara Lucas
Hi, I’m Sara (she/her). My approach to therapy is warm, honest, curious, non-judgmental, and above all, relational. My primary focus is on co-creating an authentic therapeutic relationship where you experience the safety, empathy, and trust which make room for experimenting with new ways of thinking and being. I believe there is no one “right” way to engage in therapy, just as there is no one “right” way to live a life. Sometimes we need to deeply understand (and mourn) the past, sometimes we need practical tools for navigating a challenging present, and sometimes we simply need space to be witnessed without having to hold it all together. I am interested in working with clients across the lifespan and with a variety of presenting concerns. Our work might range from open-ended “talk therapy” to more structured interventions depending on what works best for you. You certainly don’t need to come in knowing exactly what you need out of therapy, either: we can figure it all out together! My work is integrative, drawing from a variety of theoretical orientations including trauma- and complex trauma-informed, attachment-informed, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral. I have clinical interest and prior experience in working with complex trauma survivors as well as with adult women with lived experience in the commercial sex trade, including trafficking and exploitation. In addition to counseling, I am a member of the Human Trafficking Research Hub at William James College, where I contribute to research on the psychological consequences of sex trafficking. I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Holistic Studies specialization from Lesley University and a B.A. in English and Creative Writing from Wellesley College (Go Blue!). Whether or not we end up working together, I hope the right help finds you, and that whatever you’re holding grows lighter to carry.
Mind Anchor Mental Health
Mind Anchor Mental Health is a group psychotherapy practice in Sudbury, MA, serving college students, young adults, adults, and families across MetroWest and Greater Boston. We offer in-person sessions at our Sudbury office and secure telehealth for students anywhere in Massachusetts — so care continues through breaks, remote semesters, and moves between campus and home. We work with the challenges that show up most in college and early adulthood: anxiety, stress, and burnout; depression and low motivation; performance pressure — including a specialty in working with athletes and high-achievers; relationship struggles (dating, breakups, friendships, family); major transitions; and the identity questions of figuring out who you are and what you want. Our approach is active and practical: we draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and mindfulness-based skills, and we meet students where they are — building trust first, then structure and tools they can use between sessions. Our clinicians work under the supervision and consultation of our Clinical Director, Allison Flynn, PsyD, and our current openings allow scheduling typically within one week, with daytime and evening hours. We're in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Harvard Pilgrim, and Tufts Health Plan; private pay is available, and we provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Referrals are simple: call or text our intake line, and we handle insurance verification and paperwork through a secure client portal — with a warm handoff back to your counseling center whenever a release is in place. Strong Minds. Steady Relationships.

A lot of the people I work with are capable, driven, and not used to asking for help. Something's gotten heavier than usual — stress that won't turn off, a relationship that's falling apart, a slump in motivation or performance, a transition that's harder than it was supposed to be — and the usual strategy of pushing through has stopped working. That's usually where we start. My approach is direct and practical. I'll meet you where you are, ask real questions, and we'll work together to turn vague overwhelm into something clearer: what's driving it, what matters to you, and what to do next. I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and mindfulness-based skills — but sessions aren't lectures. You'll leave with structure, a plan, and tools you can actually use between sessions. I have a background in sport psychology and performance, and I work with a lot of athletes and high-achievers on pressure, confidence, and getting out of your own way. I also have a particular interest in relationship work — understanding your patterns, communicating more directly, and building connections that hold up. And I work with young men navigating expectations, self-reliance, and the stuff nobody taught us how to talk about. I offer in-person sessions at our Sudbury office and secure telehealth for students anywhere in Massachusetts, with daytime and evening hours and current availability — typically scheduling within a week. I practice under the supervision of Dr. Allison Flynn, PsyD, at Mind Anchor Mental Health. I'm in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA, Harvard Pilgrim, and Tufts Health Plan. If you're not sure whether therapy is for you, that's a fine place to start. Reach out and we'll figure it out together. My approach is direct and practical. In my work I am dedicated to supporting clients who are facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, and mood regulation. I see therapy as an opportunity to identify goals and problem-solve the roadblocks that have stalled obtaining them. I believe that treatment is a partnership between client and therapist. Whether it’s identifying negative thinking patterns with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or incorporating mindfulness, radical acceptance, and distress tolerance with dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT); the supports I offer are based on your needs and goals.
Catline Jacques, MD

I offer psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapy, personalized to your goals and delivered without feeling rushed. All services are 100% virtual and available to adults across Massachusetts. Reaching out is a first step, not a commitment. I would be glad to support you. We typically respond within 24 hours. Considering starting therapy? I’d love to help! I have been providing therapy to students and young adults for over 20 years. For most of my clients, many aspects of their lives are going smoothly but they struggle in other areas: could be the academic demands of school, uncertainty about identity and belonging, navigating conflict with peers with different opinions, a complicated work environment, or a challenging relationship with a friend, roommate, family member or romantic interest. Whatever the reason, I seek to create a therapy relationship where we can talk openly about challenges, discuss multiple perspectives and explore ways to manage the emotions and discomfort they are experiencing. Not sure if I’m the best therapist for you? No worries, feel free to send me a message and we can schedule a 15 min phone call so I can answer any of your questions. Maybe we'll schedule a meeting or if not, you have learned more about what kind of therapist you are seeking. It can feel scary and vulnerable to ask for help, but I believe it is a strength to know when you need a therapist to help you get through a challenging time. We all get stuck sometimes; it’s just part of being human. A therapist can help you weather the ups and downs of life and help you create the life that matches your vision.

I provide psychotherapy to adults, young adults, and students with a variety of issues including trauma, anxiety, life-transitions, relationship issues, and depression. I am a therapist that believes that developing a non-judgmental and client-centered approach to therapy is key to feeling better each day. In therapy, a thoughtful review of stressors, trauma, and relationships helps to build an understanding and context around the client's challenges and informs treatment. Therapy often involves building an understanding of how past relationships and experiences inform and affect our actions and emotions today. We all struggle with things, but in therapy we will work to build a space where we can talk about those things that are harder to talk about in everyday life. I have been working in mental health care for the past 5 years and specialize in addressing trauma and anxiety, the patterns they can create, and how to feel better and make changes that you want. I work to individualize therapy . I understand choosing a therapist is a difficult and important decision. Please feel free to reach out for a free call and ask me any questions that might help you make the right decision for you. I enjoy working with a variety of cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, ethnicities, and gender identities.

Do you often feel stuck, anxious, overwhelmed? Do you struggle to stay motivated or constantly wrestle with feelings of guilt? Are you struggling to adjust to changes in your career, relationship, your home life or your sense of identity? When you are struggling with these feelings it can be overwhelming and you may not know where to start. It is time to start thinking about finding a therapist, another overwhelming process. When we begin to look for a therapist, we acknowledge that part of ourselves that is ready for change and strong enough to ask for help. Therapy can feel like a risky investment. Here is the promise I can make: I want to help you. I will be as thorough, inclusive, and insightful as you would like. I can help you to build skills and learn techniques to help make your day to day struggles more manageable. I have a decade of experiencing working at the top hospitals in the Boston area. Upstream Mental Health
We’re firm believers that you don’t need to wait until things get really bad to start therapy. Every person is unique, and therapy should be the same - that’s why we take a tailored, individualized approach that’s flexible to meet your needs and goals. The foundation of our work is a multicultural-feminist perspective that positions you as the expert of your own experience. We take a warm, collaborative approach to help you get clarity about who you are and how you want your life to look. We also integrate evidence-based interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and relational frameworks. Our goals involve helping clients move upstream to identify and resolve systemic and personal patterns that keep them stuck and working together to find more joy. We also believe that the personal is political. More often than not, sociopolitical systems of oppression like racism, sexism, heterosexism, transphobia, ableism, and more directly impact mental health. As a result, we take an actively anti-racist, intersectional, identity-affirming approach with clients across a broad spectrum of marginalization and privilege. We specialize in working with college students, graduate students, young adults, and professionals in Massachusetts on a variety of common issues including: mood (anxiety, depression), identity development, life transitions and adjustment, ADHD, relationship issues, academic and career issues, and burnout.

Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here. Life can feel overwhelming, unpredictable, and sometimes downright uncharted. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore whatever you’re carrying — without judgment, pressure, or pretense. Here, you don’t have to edit yourself or hide your truth; all parts of you are welcome. I’ve spent over 20 years helping people navigate life’s twists and turns — from crisis situations in hospitals to everyday challenges in private practice. I bring deep compassion, genuine curiosity, and a touch of real-world humor to my work. Therapy with me is a conversation and a collaboration: you bring your wisdom; I bring attentive listening, honest feedback, and tools you can use in real life. Many of my clients are women, young adults, college students, and people at pivotal life moments who feel ready to reconnect with themselves and live life on their own terms. I understand how important it is to feel seen as a whole person, not just a diagnosis or a problem to solve. Together, we can slow things down, notice patterns, and chart a course forward — one that feels authentic, sustainable, and true to you. If you’re looking for an experienced therapist who’s supportive yet practical, warm yet straightforward, and genuinely invested in helping you live your best life, I’d love to connect.

Beginning a psychotherapeutic process involves an introspective challenge. Therapy as an encounter allows for the experience of a different way of being ourselves. My background and previous role as a psychotherapist in the Counseling and Mental Health Services (CAMHS) department at Harvard University have given me the privilege of working with patients from all over the world. I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis and strive to create a safe, confidential space for self-expression. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, and life transitions, with particular experience supporting graduate students and young professionals. If you’re considering therapy, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation so we can explore how I can best support you.
