Sometimes words don’t fully capture our experiences or do them justice. My journey into this work began with the discovery that art, music, movement, and other forms of creative expression can communicate the parts of ourselves that language alone cannot reach. These expressions are deeply human and can become powerful pathways to insight, healing, and connection. Therapy asks for honesty, vulnerability, and commitment, but it does not have to focus only on pain. My approach balances depth and growth with humor, curiosity, and discovery. Art therapy is not about being “good” at art; it is about using creativity and reflection to gain insight, process experiences, and foster new perspectives and possibilities. Together, we will explore patterns, relationships, challenges, and goals while strengthening resilience, quieting self-critical thoughts, and developing practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. Our work creates the foundation for deeper self-understanding, greater balance, and lasting growth.
I help clients navigate identity questions, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the emotional demands of high-stress environments. My therapeutic style is warm, welcoming, and deeply person-centered, ensuring that each individual feels seen, heard, and valued. I use an eclectic, person-centered approach that integrates multiple therapeutic techniques to meet your unique needs. This includes specialized experience supporting adolescents, women, and individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. I also commonly work with healthcare providers managing burnout, compassion fatigue, and the pressures of caring for others. Therapy with me focuses on strengthening self-acceptance, building insight, and developing practical tools that support meaningful change. Clients often report feeling more grounded, clearer about who they are, and better able to navigate relationships, stressors, and major life decisions. My goal is to help you cultivate a sense of confidence, resilience, and alignment with the life you want to live.

For 30+ years, I've helped adults recover from complex trauma, developmental and attachment trauma, narcissistic and psychopathic abuse, addictive disorders, emotional neglect and chronic relationship difficulties. My clients are insightful, motivated individuals struggling with codependency, dissociation, or the lasting effects of childhood trauma. Through trauma-informed psychodynamic therapy we identify and transform the survival patterns that once protected you but now limit your life. Healing fosters regulation and safety, allowing the parts of yourself exiled by fear, neglect, betrayal, and chronic adaptation to be reclaimed. I integrate psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed therapy with attachment theory, somatic awareness, neuroscience, mindfulness, and spiritual exploration. My goal is not simply symptom relief, but helping you create a cohesive, authentic life aligned with your deepest values and fullest potential. Therapy is a collaborative process grounded in curiosity, compassion and respect. Together we excavate the deeper origins of your emotional suffering while developing practical tools for nervous system regulation, healthier relationships, and lasting change. Even when trauma has shaped your life new patterns of safety, connection, and vitality can emerge.

Effective therapy creates meaningful, lasting, joyful change. As your therapist I can help you resolve the inner and outer conflicts that create pain and exhaustion. Life brings unchosen experiences. Sometimes we feel hurt, scared, or deeply alone. Sometimes what happens seems too big to manage. For 25+ years I have had the privilege of helping people learn to live as their "best self," able to manage their moods, thoughts and situations with compassion and skill, to make changes to reach their goals, and to find happiness. I lived and worked in Africa for 6 years, and have helped people from many cultures find their joy. My specialty is helping people understand their unique "recipe" of biology, upbringing, relationships, and current situations, and how they might work with their "ingredients" to create immediate and long-lasting positive change. My approach is practical. I integrate psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies, internal and strategic family systems, EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches, and mindfulness-based stress management. Depression, anxiety, loneliness, frustration, pulls towards behaviors that lead to pain...whatever is interfering with your well-being is worth changing. Together we can produce change. Please EMAIL
I believe that supportive therapy using a cognitive behavior approach allows people to open up and try new approaches to their problems. Trauma informed care is a major component part of my practice, there are many issues that are rooted in trauma. Understanding your past helps you to face your tomorrows. I have been practicing for over 40 years and still feel passionate about helping people be everything they dream to be. Working on issues that are stopping you from feeling happiness, successful, and peaceful is my goal for you.

My areas of focus in therapy include endings in relationships, empowerment, and sex and sexuality. I specialize in therapy with LGBTQIA+ and TGNC folx. I am a Postdoctoral psychologist who works with individuals that are hoping to improve their relationship with themselves and with others. I have experience working with adults across the lifespan experiencing a variety of difficulties. My area of specialty is with clients who have a history of disordered eating patterns, as well as a history of trauma. In therapy I encourage clients to be curious about their experiences, and my hope is that together we will deepen our understanding of how your past may be currently impacting your present. My approach with clients is warm, direct, and collaborative. I believe personal change occurs best when we notice how our experiences show up for us mentally and physically, so my work often involves active use of the mind-body connection. I use an integrated trauma-informed approach to treatment, which may include the use of somatic internal family systems, relational, psychodynamic, humanistic, feminist therapy and I incorporate techniques from CBT and DBT when appropriate. I provide embodied centered therapy for people struggling in their relationship with food, all with the goal for clients to foster awareness of self, connection with others, and to reconnect to their capacity for full-bodied engagement with the world. Additionally, I offer comprehensive psychological assessments that include both cognitive and personality assessment tools. These assessments are best suited for individuals who are wondering if they may have ADHD and can help to clarify any other mental health diagnostic questions. The results will be provided to you via a written report, which can be used to further your treatment or to justify accommodations to support your needs. I currently am only seeing clients virtually. Please reach out to connect and see if we’d be a good fit. I look forward to meeting you!
