Hey there and welcome to therapy! Congrats on taking the steps to focus on YOU! My name is Kailyn and I am dedicated to creating a supportive and authentic environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Whether you're managing the challenges of college life or simply looking for someone to talk to, I’m here to guide and support you. My approach is centered on building a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship that helps you grow, increase your self-awareness, and improve your overall well-being. I am a Master’s level clinician with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rosemont College and a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Art from Saint Joseph’s University. I have a strong background in working with young adults and adults, helping them navigate issues such as anxiety, depression ADHD, trauma, life transitions, and self-esteem. My experience includes working in both individual and group settings, and I’m committed to helping you address whatever challenges you may be facing. In therapy, I utilize a personalized approach that may include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), somatic therapies, and mindfulness-based interventions. My goal is to help you discover what works best for you, empowering you to build self-compassion, enhance your relationships, and develop emotional resilience. When I'm not in therapist mode, I enjoy unwinding with a good TV show (currently Love Island), spending quality time with my fur-babies, enjoying live music, exploring nature, and staying connected with family and friends. I’m here to support you on your journey. Let’s take the first step together.
I work with adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, stress, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, family dynamics, identity development, school and peer stress, self-criticism, emotional disconnection, and life transitions. My goal is to offer a warm, thoughtful space where you feel deeply heard, gently challenged, and ultimately supported as you make sense of your experience and begin to relate to yourself and others in new ways.
Do you feel like you’re failing at a "script" you never signed up for? When you find yourself in the space between rejecting old scripts but not yet knowing what your new scripts will be, the weight of the unknown can be paralyzing. Most challenges are fueled by a fear of being 'wrong.' I help you move past those 'right' and 'wrong' binaries and develop a deep relationship with your own intuition. When you are no longer fighting yourself, you have the energy to truly connect with others. I specialize in the topics that many therapists shy away from. I help individuals and couples reclaim intimacy by addressing desire differences, sexual "addictions", or performance anxiety. Whether we are navigating transitions into non-monogamy, or healing from infidelity, we’ll work on the practical skills to help you say 'yes' and 'no' with confidence. I bring my lived experience as a Queer, Trans, Latine therapist to help you navigate the complex intersections of power and identity. My style is direct yet deeply kind; I provide the 'gentle accountability' needed to break old patterns. I’m not here to tell you how to live; I’m here to help you communicate your needs and find what actually works for you. Some areas I explore with clients include: - Men & Masculinity - Infidelity - Boundaries & Communication - Out of Control Sexual Behavior or "Sex Addiction" - Gender & Sexual Identity Development - Asexuality - Polyamory & Non-Monogamy - Divorce & Uncoupling - Multicultural Relationships - Parasocial Relationships - ADHD & Neurodivergence - Spirituality - Grief, Loss, & Transitions
I welcome teens and adults to my practice. There are many reasons that lead to the decision to seek therapy, and I believe in meeting you where you are in this process. College is this interesting time of transition where you are given an opportunity to explore independence away from your parents, hometown, and all that feels comfortable. But for many, this independence and freedom can be lonely, confusing and downright uncomfortable. You may feel like you are not cut out to succeed in such a high pressure environment. Decisions can seem overwhelming. Am I in the right major? What internship should I choose? Should I study abroad? Do I need to take a semester off? How do I manage my money? The pressure to perform academically can be intense and feel overwhelming. Picking a major, choosing classes, second guessing your decisions, and simply managing time and assignments can feel insurmountable. If you previously struggled with time management or organization, you may find your safety net is now far away and now your grades are suffering. I have worked with many students just like you. I work to treat a range on issues that get in the way of optimal academic performance - from depression to anxiety to ADHD. I further specialize in working with students who are also parents. Parenting young children while working towards your degree is no small feat. Pregnancy and/or postpartum during graduate school is challenging but together we can get through it. Please visit my website for more information about how therapy can help you!
