Grief comes in many forms. We can grieve the loss of a person, a relationship, a community, a job, or an identity. Grief is a natural response to all kinds of loss - changing relationships, going to a new school, moving to a new city, or feeling really worried about the state of the world. We can also grieve the loss of a vision or expectation for the future. Many are struggling with the state of the world while also managing their own stress, anxiety, and sadness. This can feel overwhelming and isolating. The emotions of grief often feel uncomfortable, so we can feel tempted to skip over them and try to move to the next phase. But unprocessed emotions cause us a lot more trouble. You can find meaning and balance in your life, even when the demands feel overwhelming. I will process with you and support you when changes are needed for better coping. I understand that times are tough, and you might feel helpless right now. Let’s work together to help you live and work more effectively. Therapy will help you talk through your struggles, remember your strengths, and develop strategies to cope with life changes, grief, loss, and anxiety. You really can feel better, and you don't have to do this alone.

Hi, I'm Michael, I understand that tackling life's challenges can feel daunting. We can feel overwhelmed, and not sure where to start. Whether you are going through a tough time or have been grappling with an ongoing mental health concern, therapy can be a tool to help you learn more about yourself and develop strategies to better manage these challenges. Prior to going into private practice I worked in college counseling for 5 years so I am familiar with the unique challenges college students face in managing their mental health while in school. In working with me, clients can expect to have a warm and non-judgmental space where they can work through personal challenges as well as work towards goals and areas of growth. Outside of work I enjoy catching a horror movie, hiking, and spending time with my diva of a cat. Some of my areas of clinical interest include, relationship and family issues, college counseling, trauma, anxiety, non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships, substance use, grief & loss, and depression. I have a passion for working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and have experience providing safe and affirming therapy for trans and non-binary clients. Finding a therapist that is a good fit for you is so important. If you are interested in learning more about me and my approach to therapy please reach out and we can schedule a free 15 minute consultation. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

One of our greatest goals as clinicians is treating you with the support and care you deserve. We not only want to help you feel better, we want to help you live better and move out of negative patterns of behavior that do not serve you. I offer a modern, relational approach to therapy designed for how people actually live today. As a licensed clinical social worker, EMDR-Certified therapist, and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, I provide fully virtual therapy with flexible video and text-based support beyond the traditional session. My style is unconventional and integrative, grounded in meaningful connection. Together, we explore your inner world, understand patterns, and build a more grounded sense of self. This is your space—collaborative, flexible, and tailored to you. I integrate trauma-informed, relational, and somatic approaches to support identity, relationships, life transitions, and substance use. I’ve worked with individuals across diverse cultures, identities, and backgrounds. Therapy is available in English and Spanish. Licensed in FL, PA, and VT. Reach out to get started. In addition to clinical work, I collaborate with organizations and lead nature-based digital detox retreats in Northern Colombia’s Sierra Nevada. These immersive experiences integrate therapeutic insight, nervous system regulation, and relational work to foster meaningful connection and lasting change. I also develop CEU-approved educational content.
Specializing in the treatment of anxiety and obsessive-compulsive related disorders, I value the importance of utilizing evidence-based treatments to help you live your valued life. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and seek to cultivate this through trust, respect, and empathy. During our work, you’ll learn to utilize practical strategies to help you cope, identify and work though unhelpful thinking patterns, reengage with areas of your life that have been avoided, and improve your overall confidence.
YOU are the expert on yourself. I have had training and life experiences, but I believe that you hold within yourself the power to make the changes that you want to see happen in your life, but nobody has ever shown you that power before. I believe in helping you discover and awaken that power through whatever means you feel comfortable, and sometimes UNcomfortable! I believe in the uniqueness of every individual and work to find that in every person I meet through my work, my travels and everyday trips to the grocery store or walks in the neighborhood with my dog! I have had my own struggles with depression and anxiety in the past, and was a bit of an antisocial teen...I have seen it all, so you can feel safe talking with me about ANYTHING and I won't make you feel judged:)
I am a License Therapist committed to empower and help people heal to become their best selves. My name is Kaylee Van Gent, I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) providing psychotherapy services virtually in Pennsylvania. I have over 4 years of clinical experience across outpatient, residential, and school-based settings. In my clinical work, I often partner with clients experiencing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, trauma, and identity and adjustment issues. While I see many different clients, I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ clients, those who are navigating complex trauma, and those who have experienced religious/spiritual abuse or manipulation. I work with older adolescents, adults, and older adults. Therapy with me is grounded in deep empathy, creativity, curiosity, and a belief that meaningful change happens through safe, collaborative relationships. My goal is to help clients build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward meaningful, values-aligned change. Alongside my clinical work, I am also a doctoral student in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at Pennsylvania State University where I am pursuing research interests of social justice and systemic change in counseling and religious/spiritual abuse. Through teaching, research, and practice, I value providing therapy that is affirming, trauma-informed, and responsive to each client’s unique culture, context, and experiences. Outside of work, I am a curious, playful, and nature-loving person. I love hiking with my partner, reading, and having a good laugh.
I specialize in working with clients from the ages of 14 to adulthood, who are inquisitive, self-aware, and deeply motivated to understand themselves better, improve their relationships, move into a place of self-respect/love, and develop adaptive ways of coping, communicating, and problem-solving. I have worked for many years with children, teens, adults, and families dealing with trauma and change and searching for authenticity, often in a world that values the superficial. Therapy is a process of seeking meaning, managing change, letting go of what no longer makes sense for who we are and what we want, healing, and growing. I am most suited to help clients dealing with loss, prior childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, identity (in all its manifestations), divorce, self-esteem, grief, and emotional regulation. The goals are different for everyone, yet I believe that we all want to feel more balanced, more joyful, and more healthfully connected with others. As a psychologist with 25 years of post-doctoral experience, I’ve been exposed to various modalities, settings, and clients dealing with differing issues, life changes, and developmental expectations. I’ve also found that my professional practice has evolved as I’ve matured, raised children, and survived losses and challenges. We are in this together.
