Therapists for college students near Temple University
Through my experiences as a therapist, I have seen how life stressors, past experiences, and genetics can all play a role in the difficulties of our lives. My hope is that we can create a safe environment to enable you to grow and adapt to what life has to offer and start to explore the things that may be holding us back. I have worked with individuals and couples struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Adjustment Disorders, ADD, ADHD, Marital Conflict, issues surrounding substance abuse, and issues surrounding gender and identity. I specialize in working with individuals who identify as LGBTQ+. I offer a free phone consultation to help you determine if my services are a good fit for you or your family! Sliding scale rates are available upon consultation.
As a first-generation college graduate, I know how challenging it can be to find your way. For this reason, I helped students on their college journeys for over a decade before transitioning to clinical practice. Many of my clients are cycle-breakers: the first in their family to address mental health concerns and build healthier relationships. I help clients manage anxiety, depression and challenging family relationships (i.e. emotionally immature parents/adults). You CAN have a different experience. If this resonates with you, schedule a free consultation to talk about how I can support you on your journey.
Are You Looking For A Therapist Who Will Involve Your Entire Being, Mind, Body and Soul, in Your Healing Journey? There is a powerful connection between the body and the brain, and both the body and the brain rely on that connection to heal. With that, I utilize yoga practices to help guide you to integrate your mind and body. Unlike talk therapy, where we explore your thoughts and feelings on a topic or event, Yoga + Therapy encourages you to feel the body sensations that hold wisdom about that topic or event. Your body has an opinion, it's time to listen to it! I specialize in working with women and BIPOC - two groups I identify with and deeply care about. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and yoga teacher with specific training in trauma-informed practices. Yoga + Therapy strengthens the ability to be present in the mind, in the body, and ultimately, in life. If you are looking for traditional talk therapy only, I integrate meditation and mindfulness in sessions to help you further explore areas in your life. I am an Out of Network Provider (Self Pay/Private Pay). Please visit my website www.mindbodysoulcounseling.com to learn more about my practice and schedule a free 15 minute consultation call. I can't wait to work with you! There is a powerful connection between the body and the brain, and both the body and the brain rely on that connection to heal. I emphasize the importance of being comfortable in your own body. Yoga + Therapy strengthens the ability to be present in the mind, in the body, and ultimately, in life.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have over ten years of experience as a therapist working with clients whose lives have been affected by addiction. Because I am educated and trained to work with family systems, I am always treating relationships. It doesn't matter if I work with an individual client, a couple, or a family. Your relationships matter to me and are an integral part of our work. My ideal client is someone that has been or is currently affected by addiction - their own or someone else's.
Lydia obtained their masters in School and Mental Health Counseling at the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently working toward licensure. They have experience in working with LGBT adults and adolescents, the BIPOC community, and other marginalized identities. Lydia’s therapeutic approach primarily revolves around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Person-Centered Counseling and they will implement techniques that best cater to their clients’ needs. Lydia’s values are informed through a lens of intersectionality by evaluating how structural oppression affects different minority groups. As a result, they promote radical self-love and acceptance as a form of resistance against oppressive systemic structures. You can find Lydia enjoying their free time tending to their plants, spending time with their cats, and playing video games.
Many of the students I work with are kind, hardworking, and thoughtful—but they’re also exhausted. They often feel anxious, overwhelmed, or like they’re constantly falling behind no matter how hard they try. Some struggle with focus, motivation, or staying organized—especially those dealing with ADHD symptoms like mental fog, procrastination, or racing thoughts that make it hard to relax or keep up with school. Others are managing perfectionism, body image concerns, trauma, or health issues that are hard to talk about with friends or family. If you’re feeling burned out, stuck, or like your emotions are too much to handle on your own, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I offer a supportive space where we can sort through what’s going on and help you feel more grounded, confident, and capable. Sessions are fully virtual for Pennsylvania residents, and I offer flexible scheduling, accept several insurance plans, and provide sliding scale options to keep therapy accessible.

My waitlist is open, please email me! In a safe and non-judgmental environment, I utilize art therapy to help you process emotions and challenging life experiences. No experience in art is necessary to benefit, you only need the willingness to express yourself and engage in the creative process. I use art therapy in counseling with those who are seeking to process anxiety, stress, trauma and more. As your therapist, I will work with you to ensure that you feel safe and validated while we build the therapeutic relationship and process challenges with art therapy. Not into art? Not to worry, I also offer traditional talk therapy! Art therapy is a powerful mind-body therapeutic process. Focus is on the therapeutic process of art making, creativity and reflection, as well as personal growth and development. I am here to help you with any challenges you might be facing. If this seems like a good fit for your needs, please reach out and we can discuss more in depth about how art therapy can benefit you! Email is the best way to reach me! Hi there! Thank you for pausing here. Deciding to look for help was hard to begin with and finding the right helper seems even more difficult, I know. Whatever issues you are facing, perhaps its depression that is attached to your past, stress related to your present, or anxiety that is attaching itself to your future, I can help you work through it. It’s a privilege for me to be able to share lessons of hope and walk alongside my clients, until they have the breakthrough that they so desperately desire. My greatest joy is to see you step out from darkness into a brighter, lighter future – stronger, wiser, and hopeful! Life has not always been easy, so let's talk about it. There’s a Japanese practice of using liquid gold to fill in the cracks of broken pottery. Kintsugi, as it’s called, teaches that broken objects are not something to hide but to display with pride. I am here to help you fill the cracks and move on with your life. The one that is truly meant for you. - Talk soon, Gloria
I offer primarily neuropsychological assessment to provide diagnostic clarity and to help you better understand how your brain functions. This may help you better understand your own unique way of learning, interacting with others, and handling life's challenges. With that enhanced understanding, you can more effectively take steps to improve your daily functioning and live a better and more fulfilling life. I do offer therapy for individuals dealing primarily with the challenges of life stress, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I also have extensive experience working with and helping those struggling with chronic health concerns and head injury related concerns.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, constant stress, depression, anger, or difficulty sleeping. I provide therapy to those who are ready to feel more in control of their thoughts, emotions, and daily life. Therapy offers a space where you can slow down, gain clarity, and begin making meaningful changes. My approach is supportive, practical, and focused on helping you understand the patterns contributing to stress, anxiety, anger, depression, and insomnia. Together, we work to build effective strategies so you can feel calmer, think more clearly, improve your mood, and regain a sense of balance. Clients often appreciate having a therapist who is fully present, easy to talk to, and genuinely invested in their growth. Many begin to notice positive changes as they engage in therapy and apply the skills we develop together. Whether you are dealing with ongoing anxiety, burnout, low mood, irritability, or insomnia, you do not have to continue managing it alone.

One of my specialties is addressing trauma/PTSD with EMDR therapy which engages your physical, cognitive and emotional self to process trauma. Clients in the LGBTQ community find a place to explore gender and sexual identity. Folks in a variety of relationships come to talk about the complexity of connections and communication. One of my favorite quotes is: "I am a lighthouse, rather than a lifeboat. I do not rescue, but instead help others to find their way to shore". If you are searching for the way to the shore, I can help.
