If you are here, I know that you have been worn down and are bravely acknowledging that you don’t want to keep doing the same thing. I want to welcome you to a warm, accepting space where we can get to the heart of who you are and the direction you want to grow. Whether navigating a difficult career, relationship issues, major life change, or parenting children with special needs, you do not have to figure it out alone. Together, we can find your path to move forward that will leave you feeling more equipped and like you can be the best you. I would be honored to be a part of your process. I want to see you… really see you as the unique person you are and jointly find ways to cope with obstacles. Healthcare professionals, educators, teachers, people with chronic health issues, the LGBTQ+ community, struggling parents, people with postpartum depression, or those in the adoption process are just a few of who I have walked alongside. It is important to find a good fit in a therapist, and I offer a free consultation call to see if we might work well together. Feel free to send me an email or call in order to schedule a time where we can see if your life challenges and my approach work well together. I hope to talk with you soon.

Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, or just feeling stuck in life, I'm here for you. I'll walk alongside you on this journey to help you identify your strengths and coping strategies to help you move forward. Hi there. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, specializing in post-traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety. I have experience working with adults from various backgrounds and in various stages of life. Like most therapists, I utilize a wide variety of clinical modalities (CBT, DBT, ACT, logotherapy, person-centered therapy). Not sure what you're looking for in a therapist? I'd be happy to speak with you about your needs and help you find the right type of treatment for you - whether that means therapy with me or with someone else. Taking the first step is the hardest part, and you've already done that by being here on this website.

As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, my passion has been to assist others with finding that light on the other side of a seemingly dark tunnel. I frequently work with adults ages 17+ to help them gain understanding of how our past can influence our present behaviors and emotional responses and assist those struggling with addiction to regain control over their own lives. I enjoy working with couples to develop positive, healthy relationships and interactions with each other through positive communication, conflict resolution, and remembering where the spark originated. I also work with children ages 8-12 years old who are dealing with depression, anxiety, parental separations, bullying, and self-esteem. Through an Adlerian therapeutic approach and using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy, we will work through the challenges that may arise in our everyday lives. I have a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and am licensed to practice in North Carolina. I became a therapist after spending 8 years in the mental health field working with struggling communities through substance abuse, child sexual abuse, developmental disabilities, dual-diagnosis, and severe mental illness. Many of my clinical experiences over the last 12 years were developed through community mental health, home-based therapy, and mental health practices with children and adults. I am passionate and dedicated to each individual client that I have the pleasure to assist. I have the understanding and personal experience that therapy can be scary, it can be difficult and overwhelming, but I also know that the therapeutic process is something that you have control over. You are the conductor of the train and I am simply the track to help guide you along the way.

If you’re struggling emotionally as a young adult, you’re not alone. Transitioning into adulthood has always been tough, but Generation Z is facing a fresh set of challenges. You’ve grown up in a world where post-9/11 security, recessions, and lockdown drills are the norm. Then, two crucial years of your life were upended by a global pandemic. It’s no wonder so many young adults are struggling with anxiety, depression, and despair. I will help you overcome these challenges. My approach is based in cognitive behavioral therapy, but my methodology is specifically adapted for young adults. I work with individuals aged 17–24, offering compassionate, pragmatic support. My advice will be tailored around your unique needs and goals. You will receive honest feedback, gentle pushes, and proven tools for building a better life. Together, we can find the solutions that work for you. Best of all, because I offer virtual appointments, you can get the help you need right from the comfort of your own home (or dorm room).

Clinical Social Work/Therapist

I named my practice Conversations Therapy because I have always felt that the words “therapy” and “counseling” have a bad reputation. Some people think that seeking therapy is admitting weakness; others think that their therapist will judge them or tell them that they are “bad” or “broken.” In reality, neither of these things could be further from the truth. Rather, seeking therapy requires strength and determination. Furthermore, therapy can and should be a good experience. At Conversations Therapy, I believe that you are the expert of your own life. As your therapist, my job is to guide you through your complex emotions so that you can gain better clarity on your life. My motto is “Be your authentic self.” I welcome people regardless of their age, background, religion, ethnicity, sexual preference, gender identity, or any other identity a human being might hold. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your feelings and express yourself freely. I encourage you to be yourself and your whole self. In our therapy sessions, we will look at the whole of you and see how your different experiences and emotions have impacted your life.
