College comes with so many challenges - friends, partners, roommates, classes, and work - all while the world demands our attention! Hi, I'm Brandi Walker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and owner of B.O.L.D.L.Y. Therapy. I provide psychotherapy services to California and Oregon residents. I work to help clients obtain and retain quality mental health by providing useful psychotherapy services delivered with empathy, authenticity, flexibility, and professionalism. I provide clients with a safe confidential therapeutic space to discuss concerns, feel valued, and supported. I provide supportive psychotherapy services using a solution-focused approach that targets client's immediate needs, while highlighting client's strengths and resources, in efforts to alleviate mental problems and improve their overall life. I will work together with clients to improve their mental health in hopes to create opportunities for clients to learn and grow into the person they want to be. You can learn more about me at my website www.boldlytherapy.com
I have been privileged to work with individuals, couples and families in a therapeutic setting for many years. I find deep fulfillment in witnessing positive changes in my clients’ lives. As a long-time Oregon resident, I value the Pacific Northwest and the sense of community it fosters.
I have worked with many University Students struggling with the adjustment and stress of a Masters or PHD program. I work in Downtown Corvallis offering in person or online sessions. Most of my clients come in with stress anxiety, depression, diversity issues, and trauma
My top goal in therapy is to create a trusted partnership, built on empathy, honest feedback, and adaptive support. I provide a safe space to explore, understand, and work through difficulties. Together we work to expand insight, hone goals, and enact processes that reduce distress and change unwanted patterns. Clinically, I assess wellbeing using Ecological and Biopsychosocial Model perspectives. My work with clients is rooted in Humanistic and Cognitive-Behavioral models, and integrates strategies drawn from other approaches, including ACT, IFS, and MI therapies. However, my approach varies with each person, based on their unique needs, cultural contexts, and current circumstances. I often help clients with concerns related to anxiety, depression, relationships, focus/performance, existence/spirituality, academic/career development, and general well-being. I also frequently provide support for specific concerns, including identity development (cultural/sexual/gender/etc.), processing grief, resolving trauma, and substance use. All of us go through times when we feel overwhelmed or lost, and it's difficult to work through that alone. When looking for a therapist, consider what qualities (e.g., empathy, structure, logic) might help you most at this point. I'm happy to talk with you by phone about what you're looking for, how I work with clients, and any questions you have.
I provide a holistic, strengths based, and non-pathologizing approach to wellness. I am a compassionate listener and active participant in helping people realize self-compassion and acceptance so they can heal past wounds and make changes in their lives that allow them to fully realize who they are at their core. Through use of sensorimotor/somatic therapy, EMDR and IFS (you can read more about these on my website), I help people learn to listen to their bodies and their internal wisdom so they can make choices that are in line with their values and hold themselves with more confidence and ease. While I work with all kinds of concerns, I specialize in helping individuals and their partners, who are having difficulty with intimacy due to a history of sexual abuse. I also honor and celebrate diversity and create a safe and affirming place for people who identify as LGBT, genderqueer or questioning and for people who are non-monogamous. So many of us have experienced physical and emotional traumas that have created barriers for us to live the lives we are meant to. I offer EMDR sessions to help people resolve those past experiences so memories are no longer held in the body in the same distressing way and they are free to feel safe again and enjoy more security in their relationships.
I am an LPC in Pennsylvania and Oregon and Oregon Board Approved Supervisor Candidate. I am trained in EMDR, CBT, Exposure Response Prevention, and Equine Assisted Mental Health (EAGALA). I love helping my clients develop insight into patterns in their life and helping them to make shifts that can help them achieve their goals!

I love providing support to students navigating the challenges unique to the college years. I work well with both traditional and non-traditional students. I offer a warm and empathic connection, with plenty of care balanced with humor. I enjoy building a therapeutic connection and assisting my clients in their own growth and development.
Welcome. People come to therapy for a range of reasons. For over 13 years I've worked with individuals 18+ years old struggling with mood, self-esteem, anxiety or worry, relationships, identity, loss, trauma, and life transitions. Working in a college counseling center is part of my prior experience. If you are interested in “depth therapy,” or have tried therapy before and the benefits didn’t stick, my approach may appeal to you. My specialty is called psychodynamic psychotherapy. This means you will be invited to begin each session with whatever comes to mind, and together we explore your inner experiences (emotions, sensations, thoughts, beliefs, expectations, dreams) with a focus on seeking to understand you and what’s troubling you. I can help us “read between the lines” for themes or patterns that contribute to feeling stuck, which may have been previously out of awareness, and which can now inform daily life and relieve symptoms. I am also certified to use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a technique that can help heal trauma symptoms impacting current life. While our work centers on you as an individual, none of us exist outside of the broader socioeconomic and cultural systems we are in. These pressures and influences around us are also real and crucial to recognize. Psychotherapy is an opportunity to deal with issues in a way that is difficult to do alone. I can accompany you with my undivided listening, consistent availability, an appointment day and time safeguarded only for you, and commitment to taking you seriously.
We all face challenges in life, some big and some small, but each is significant in its impact on you individually. Whether you have experienced large or small traumas, ADHD, Autism, anxiety, depression, burnout, or are trying to understand and manage your emotional responses, I'm here to support your journey. There is no "right size" challenge to seek therapy and I'm here to support you regardless of how big or small you view your challenges. I am also trained in assessing for autism and ADHD, helping to not just diagnosis, but help you address life challenges you may face related to your neurodivergent superpowers.
Assisting woman-identified Oregon State students for nearly twenty years has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I have assisted students in all areas of study and from many continents. I have aided students in managing existing mental health challenges, adjusting to new mental health diagnoses, navigating academic stressors and relationship changes, healing from sexual assaults and traumas, learning to use their voice, becoming more comfortable in their bodies, and more. Being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker means that I believe that we are best understood in relation to our inner and outer environments, and also that our strengths hold wisdom that act as a blueprint for understanding our challenges. I work relationally with no workbooks or homework and believe that a healthy therapeutic relationship is a the most important tool in assisting others. My counseling style has been described as warm and nurturing, yet direct. I work best with students who are seeking therapy for themselves and are looking to actively engage in a change process. Feminist and Narrative theories heavily inform my work and I also use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as tools to help create lasting change.
Hi and welcome to Story Unfolding LLC. I believe therapy to be a dynamic process which can facilitate a greater understanding of self and others while providing gentle direction in shifting long standing beliefs, patterns, and behaviors. We all have stories of our lives we recite to ourselves and others; some of these stories are ones which build us up while others are ones which hold us hostage. We also all have histories in these stories; histories of identities we hold, labels we were given, trauma we experienced, circumstances we can never understand, behaviors we are not proud of, and the list goes on. I will work alongside you to identify what these are, the history/context in these, and how to re-construct the stories which support your ability to respond to difficult emotions, to improve relationships, to care for self, to feel joy, and to have greater resiliency. I am thankful you’re here exploring your options of a different and better path forward; I look forward to hearing from you!
I work with individuals in person and via telehealth. i have an office in Hermosa Beach ,CA and in OR I am telehealth only. I love working with college students and use a body, brain and soul approach to therapy. I am certified in Brainspotting which is a Body Brain based modality that goes deeper than talk therapy alone. It can help people get un-stuck faster. I also offer guided meditations in session and teach about the importance of involving the nervous system in treatment especially for anxiety, trauma and depression. I utilize hypnosis as well and treat fears, phobias and more. I offer hypnosis and for those wanting a more spiritual approach I also offer Spiritually Focused therapy. I work with young men and women and always some client's at the colleges in Oregon as well as California.
My primary focus is on helping individuals and couples who are dealing with the impact of such issues as ADHD/ASD/AuDHD, anxiety, depression, recovery from narcissistic abuse, and PMDD. The therapy I offer is active and focused on creating change in specific areas, established by the client. I customize therapy to the individual or couple, using a variety of approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, to assist the client in boundary setting/holding, improved communication skills, and healthier emotion regulation. My goal is to help people see how the various pieces of their lives have shaped their responses, so that they can connect with self-compassion, gain insight around where they are getting stuck, and learn new beliefs and skills. If you are looking for support navigating how to create change for yourself, I hope to hear from you!
As a therapist, I am passionate about supporting teenagers and young adults who are seeking to work through trauma and move forward in their lives. My own experiences and being around others who have faced trauma inspired me to pursue this path, and I am committed to creating a safe, welcoming space for anyone who wants to begin their healing journey. I have experience working with a diverse range of clients, including veterans and members of the LGBTQ+ community, and I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I strive to do what is best for your over all well-being. I have been working in the mental health field for 9 years with a focus on adolescents and young adults but take all clients of any age.
I am a bilingual therapist that speaks English and Spanish who has experience working with students of diverse backgrounds. You might be a new student or a student that is about to graduate and be the professional you always dreamed of. You might be asking yourself, now what? I will support you no matter where you are in your journey. I have experience supporting and helping first generation students, immigrant students who struggle with adjustment, transitions, depression, anxiety, and history of trauma. For some therapy is scary, and for others it is exciting and wonderful. No matter where you are in your life adventure I am here to support you and create more self awareness where you can be your authentic self.
It’s only within the last few decades that research on ADHD and autism started including females! Girls/women/AFAB individuals have been overlooked, undiagnosed, or *mis*diagnosed and labeled as ‘moody’, ‘too emotional’, ‘spacey’, etc. One study found that around 46% of women were misdiagnosed with another disorder before being diagnosed with ADHD! I am passionate about helping adult women and AFAB individuals with ADHD and/or ASD learn new skills, gain confidence, and move away from shame. I strive to be authentic, compassionate, and respectful, and to foster a relationship where you feel genuinely seen and valued. My therapy style is influenced by the work of Brené Brown, who writes, "We are all made of strength and struggle." I am a cheerleader in the best sense of that word; I will encourage you to build on your strengths and support you through your struggles. I believe in the healing power of play and creativity, and infuse my work with humor and spontaneity. I love helping people identify and explore the various parts/roles/identities that make them unique beings. I don’t believe in ‘one size fits all' therapy and am trained in numerous modalities. We can work together to discover what approaches work best for you!
“It’s always best to believe in one’s self, but a little help from others can be a great blessing!” I view each person as the main character in their book of life. Each book contains stories of joy, sadness, exploration, struggle, and most importantly, HOPE. My goal to assist in exploring these stories, whether you encounter depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, intersectional struggles, or self-esteem issues...I am especially sensitive to those impacted by LGBTQ issues, religious minorities, activists, uniformed public servants, and those experiencing depression. I utilize a multiculturally sensitive approach, borrowing from ACT, DBT, MBCT, mindfulness, narrative, and solution-focused therapies to develop a collaborative and eclectic style to treatment, tailored to your needs. Cultures all over the world have a common truth: life is suffering. Through therapy, I hope to create a safe and empowering environment to help you withstand and overcome that suffering. I welcome you to reach out to start this journey.
Welcome! What is a mosaic? It is little imperfect pieces of glass or tile that come together to form beautiful art. How can we create a mosaic within ourselves and in our lives? All the broken pieces of glass or tile can represent trauma, experiences, life journeys, and parts of our self that we sometimes don’t necessarily know how to understand them to incorporate them into our sense of self. I have a passion for working with people to help them to understand these broken pieces, and help them to put these pieces together in a way that creates the beautiful mosaic that is YOU! I have 18 years of experience, specializing in working with transition-aged youth (ages 16-24), adults, and people of color that struggle with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, among other life challenges that people may face. I also strive to understand what your needs are and work with you in a way that can meet those needs to best assist you in therapy. Please contact me if you are interested in taking a step forward in your life journey that can lead to discovering and understanding the beautiful mosaic of you!
