Gathered & Wise exists to provide excellent and experienced perinatal and maternal mental health care. We believe that a well-supported mother has a tremendous positive impact on her children and her community. We also believe women deserve wellness due to their own intrinsic worth; not based on what roles they hold, or what they can contribute to others. It is our hope and intention to create a warm environment where both clients and therapists feel respected, supported, and are given the tools they need to thrive.

I primarily support LGBTQIA+ and/or BIPOC adults who struggle with being their full, authentic selves navigate challenging systems and relationships. Clients often come to me worried that by making meaningful changes in their lives, they are being selfish. They might find themselves in work environments that are unsupportive, relationships they feel unfulfilled by, and friendships that seem unbalanced. It's a frustrating cycle, and they want their lives to be different, but are unsure how. After working with me, clients find themselves feeling more able to care for themselves, find joy in being with others, and feel more at peace with themselves. I approach therapy collaboratively and value humor, identity, and compassionate honesty in the therapeutic relationship. I also provide Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems treatment for trauma and provide letters for gender-affirming medical services. I know how frustrating it is to be unheard and unseen. I would love to help you explore how to better engage with yourself and others to become more authentically you. I have a social justice orientation and am affirming of all genders, sexualities, body sizes, and differing relationship structures. If any of the above spoke to you, let's chat!

College and grad school can bring a lot of pressure—and for many students, that can show up in their relationship with food and their body. Between academic stress, social comparison, changing routines, and campus culture, it's common for body image concerns and eating disorder symptoms to become more intense. As an eating disorder registered dietitian, I provide compassionate, trauma-informed nutrition counseling from a Health at Every Size® (HAES®) and All Foods Fit approach. Whether you're struggling with an eating disorder, chronic dieting, body image, or simply want to feel more at peace with food, I'm here to help you build a healthier, more flexible relationship with eating and with yourself. I also lead Yoga for Embodiment and offer virtual sessions for Illinois and Oregon residents.

My ideal client is motivated to improve their quality of life and may struggle with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and grief/trauma related issues. They are interested in understanding themselves and cultivating healthy coping strategies to deal with the challenges of our modern world, with the ultimate goal of thriving, not just surviving. They understand that we all have the opportunity to continue growing and want to live a more self-expressed life by identifying and challenging negative and self-limiting thinking patterns. I compassionately support and validate my clients, while also encouraging them to take on the challenges in their life. I have significant experience with mindfulness practices and believe in the power of creativity (writing, music, art) as a therapeutic tool. Most people are settling for less than what their lives can possibly be. I am committed to helping you lead a self-expressed life and to help you see all the ways that you are a gift to yourself and others. I do not have all the answers, but I believe that together we can inspire each other and produce breakthroughs you may not think are possible.

I strive to provide an environment of safety, acceptance, and empowerment. My approach is described as easy-going, direct and nonjudgmental. I respect my clients’ needs and welcome the opportunity to work with people of diverse backgrounds, identities, and relationships. My goal is to help you find relief through expanded self-awareness, healing of old wounds, increased connectedness, development of practical tools, and shifting out of old/unhelpful patterns. People often come into therapy with coping mechanisms that no longer serve them. I work to find balance by providing support as well as challenging you, to encourage growth while also promoting compassion for who and where you are now. I really value being a safe person for my clients in a world that can feel unsafe. I have expertise and a passion for trauma recovery, identity exploration (including gender & sexual identity), navigating systems of oppression, attachment, and relational concerns. I’ve specialized in EMDR for 11 years, and utilize mindfulness, CBT, polyvagal theory, ego state, and DBT- with my approach being tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
